Memorial for Mary Jane Kessey

Mary Jane Press was born at Rockley (near Bathurst) NSW on 24 October 1867 and died at Coniston NSW on 5 March 1951. She married James Kessey at Rockley on 22 April 1890. They were divorced on 14 August 1915 but remarried each other at Dubbo on 3 January 1923. She is buried in Wollongong Memorial Gardens at Wollongong NSW.

She was memorialised with obituaries in the Western Herald (Bourke), Illawarra Mercury (Wollongong), South Coast Times and Wollongong Argus (Illawarra) and National Advocate (Bathurst). Her daughter Beatrice Martin died during Mary Jane's funeral.
